Reminder for the last 2 days

Posted on

Hey guys just a reminder for the last couple of days

  1.  Culmination is tomorrow at Mt. Tabor at 1:15.  Kids will need a sack lunch because we will not be back at CSS for lunch.  See the Culmination Post for all the details.  It is pretty low key.  If you are feeling stretched too thin at the end of this year they will be bringing their paper home and can show you there.  You guys can have your own toast at home.  Some kids have been asking is it a potluck,  nope it’s not.  We only have cider at this one.
  2. Last day of school.  On the last day of school we have a pretty typical CSS last day of school.  In the morning we will gather to watch a slide show.  Unfortunately parents are not invited because we have grown so big we barely fit in the cafeteria ourselves.  Then we will go through the halls to get people to sign yearbooks.  If you haven’t bought a yearbook they are for sale after school until they sell out.  If the kids don’t have a yearbook they will get a little paper autograph book to have people sign.  Then we will head back to our rooms for a bit and then meet again on the playground/field for a picnic.  You are welcome to come to the picnic if you want.  You will find us near the big tree.  Then we are headed back to the classroom to finish up our stuff and at 2:40 we are clapping our 8th graders out of the building.  Then, you have 4th graders!

Where: Mt. Tabor Amphitheater

When 1:15 pm

What: We will be toasting to our hard work and great year and we will be reading our paper.  They will be bringing the paper home that day.  If you want to take your child home from the culmination you are welcome

Our culmination is planned for Wednesday June 8th at Mt. Tabor.  There is a picnic area and amphitheater next to the bathrooms and basketball courts.  I have attached a map with a big check mark where we are going to be.    Honestly you guys know better than I since most of you are from this neighborhood.

The hiccup in our plan…Since there were extra days added on to the school year our field trip to Mt. Tabor falls on a day where the park is closed to cars.  That means that you have to park in the neighborhood and walk up.  It worked out fine last year.  On the map I have indicated the best area to park and then walk up.
